Battlefield of the Mind

About Battlefield of the Mind with Dr. Linda Dixon

We all struggle with worry, doubt, confusion, depression, anger, and feelings of condemnation. These are attacks on the mind. If you suffer from negative thoughts, take heart. We will be studying "Battlefield of the Mind," by author Joyce Meyer. This 12-week study support group will help you: gain control over your mind by finding freedom and peace; recognize damaging thoughts and stop them from influencing your life; become patient with yourself even when you make mistakes; arm yourself with the Word of God, praise, prayer, and spiritual weapons; and overcome bad attitudes. We will be unpacking the importance of the mind, conditions of the mind, and "wilderness mentalities." Topics include shifting from a wandering, confused, doubtful, anxious, worried, judgmental, and critical mind.

Boundaries

Boundaries is the book that's helped over 4 million people learn when to say yes and how to say no to take control of their lives. Does your life feel like it's out of control? You may have to say yes to everyone's requests. You may find yourself readily taking responsibility for others' feelings and problems. Or you could focus so much on being loving and unselfish that you've forgotten your limits and limitations. Or it's all of the above.

In the New York Times bestseller Boundaries, Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend help you learn when to say yes and how to say no to take control of your life and set healthy, biblical boundaries with your spouse, children, friends, parents, co-workers, and even yourself.

Now updated and expanded for the digital age, this book continues to help millions of people around the world answer these tough questions:

● Can I set limits and still be a loving person?

● What are legitimate boundaries?

● How do I effectively manage my digital life so it doesn't control me?

● What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?

● How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?

● Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?

● How do boundaries relate to mutual submission within marriage?

● Aren't boundaries selfish?

You don't have to let your life spiral out of control. Discover how boundaries make life better today!

Untangle Your Emotions

How often have you heard, "Don't let your emotions get the best of you"? But what if, instead of suppressing our feelings, we learned to notice them, name them, and allow God to use them to deepen our relationship with Him and others?

This women's group will journey through Untangle Your Emotions by Jennie Allen. This powerful guide combines scientific research, biblical truth, and personal stories to help us better understand our emotional lives. Together, we'll learn how to:

Replace emotional avoidance with a five-step process to recognize what we feel and respond with intention.

Break free from the belief that emotions are unreliable or sinful.

Apply biblical wisdom and therapeutic insights for lasting emotional health.

Embrace God's love even amid painful or confusing emotions.

Whether you consider yourself deeply emotional or not at all, this group is a safe space to grow in emotional maturity, connect with other women, and experience God in more profound ways.

Let's explore how our emotions, far from being a weakness, can serve as a powerful bridge to healing, connection, and spiritual growth.
